Rope Jams in Leuven
We host small, invite-only rope jams at Maison Tsuri Neko in Leuven. These are rope-focused, sex-positive events where all levels are welcome. Our jams emphasise peer learning, safety, and building confidence in a supportive environment.
Our primary language for hosting and safety briefings is English.
To get an invite or find out about upcoming events, contact us via contact@tsurineko.org or FetLife, or check our FetLife events page.
What to expect
- Rope-focused, sex-positive jam where everyone can learn from peers
- A jam, not a workshop, but there are usually people happy to help with basics
- All levels welcome, from absolute beginners to experienced riggers and models
- Dedicated playroom on the top floor with suspension frame, tatami, and tie-friendly furniture
- Space designed for floor work, partial, and full suspensions, and rope-based play
- Small group sizes so everyone gets room to breathe, play, and ask questions
Practical information
What to bring
- Comfy rope-friendly clothes; avoid very loose items that catch in rope
- Your rope (we have practice rope, but bring your own if you have—or pick up rope and safety kits from us)
- Safety scissors or another cutting tool made for rope
- Anything you need for play or aftercare
Arrival and logistics
- Arrive in vanilla-friendly clothing. Outfits and rope go on inside.
- Use quiet, neutral language in the street and at the door. Kinky talk lives inside the house.
- Staying the night is sometimes possible, especially if you travel from far. We have spare beds.
- If you plan to stay over, let us know in advance so we can track beds and sofa space.
Food and drinks
- We provide snacks, tea, coffee, and water.
- Usually no full meals, so eat before or bring something for before the jam.
- Keep all drinks out of the play areas and off the mats.
- Sealed water bottles are fine in the play room as long as they stay off the mats.
Consent, house rules and asking to tie
Our House Rules apply at all events. The Rope Jam Rules add rope-specific guidance.
A few jam-specific highlights:
- Anyone can ask anyone to tie. Be kind, be clear, and leave space for “no, thank you”.
- Everyone is free to accept or decline for any reason. Respect answers without pushing.
- Before you tie, talk about comfort, injuries, intensity, sexual touch, and safewords.
- If you are new to rope, say so. Do not present yourself as more skilled than you are.
- People newer to the scene may not know their limits or feel able to say no. Look for enthusiastic consent and non-verbal “no” signals such as turning away or freezing.
- This is not the place for unsolicited teaching. You can ask “why did you do it that way?” after a scene, but do not assume you know better.
Sober events
- Rope jams are sober events. Rope and altered states do not mix well.
- Maison Tsuri Neko holds a zero-tolerance policy for intoxication at rope jams. People who are intoxicated cannot consent to tie or be tied.
- If you arrive at one of our jams under the influence of alcohol or other drugs, you may be asked to leave.
Support and feedback
- If something feels off, talk to us. We want everyone to feel safe and welcome.
- There is an anonymous feedback form available.
- If you feel uncomfortable at a rope jam or afterwards, or if you want to talk about something that happened, you can speak to a host at the event or reach out through our contact channels.
